At Queen of To Do, we believe Pride isn’t just about showing up in June - it’s about how you show up all year.
Visibility is important. But it only matters if it’s backed by real action and accountability.
It’s not enough to “support” queer folks. We protect them, in writing.
Our Client Welcome Packet, Employee Handbook, and upcoming Contractor Agreement all include firm language about our zero-tolerance policy for homophobic, transphobic, racist, or other hateful behavior - from anyone. That includes clients, vendors, and team members.
This isn’t just lip service. If someone crosses a line, the incident is addressed immediately. We don’t flinch when it comes to respecting and protecting marginalized groups.
Especially in Texas, where LGBTQIA2S+ rights are under attack, businesses can’t afford to sit quietly.
We:
Provide paid time off for employees to vote in all elections (local races are personal).
Donate a portion of our Pride Month profits to the ACLU, in direct response to harmful anti-trans policies.
Choose to work with vendors who share our values, even though it takes extra time and intention.
It’s not all talk. Queen of To Do puts it into practice.
This Pride Month, we’re giving our team paid time off to volunteer with nonprofits in their communities. Because community care is work. And it should be compensated like it.
Whether it’s handing out water at a march, helping with event logistics, or supporting LGBTQIA2S+ youth - we’re proud to make space for that impact.
We’re not perfect. We’re a small but growing team, and like many startups, we’re still building some of our DEI infrastructure. But we’re not waiting until everything is “done” to start doing the right thing, and when we make mistakes, we vow to grow from them.
Pride Month is a timely reminder that inclusion isn’t a milestone, but rather a mindset. And we’re committed to showing up, learning, adjusting, and protecting our people along the way.
Pride in practice means:
Protecting your people in writing.
Prioritizing values over convenience.
Making space for joy and justice.
We’ll never stop trying to do it better. Because it’s the right thing to do.
